I was wondering some time ago if
the C.202 is faster and more agile
in AH, without the 7,7mm wing guns,
only with 2 x 12,7mm guns.
Pyro, could you help?
thx

Well, if you take weight away from plane I bet it will quite propably be faster. Different thing is how much faster and how much agile. Since they are relatively light MG's, and there are not too many of them, I think it would not make big difference.

Different engines too between the 202 and the 205, no?

I think he means he wants to be able to drop the useless 7.9's, especially if it ups the speed and climb. I would agree. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Yep, from Series VII (if I remember well) all C.202s had 2x12,7mm in the nose and 2x7,7mm added in the wings.
The interesting thing is that almost all pilots removed them. Consider that they fought against P40, Hurricanes and Spitfire MkV (Trop), not exactly paper planes.
FYI, 2x7,7mm + ammo had a total weight of about 80-85Kg.
The 1.02p3 C.202 is faster and climbs better than the 1.02 one. IMHO is still not enuff, but you know, I'm never happy with it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

cc, I tried it now offline
and it seems a little better without
the 7,7mm. However still too light
to shot down fighters , figure out
a b-17...!

Last time I checked there was no big difference between the light and "heavy" (LOL (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)) C.202.
I understand that 80-85Kg are not so much ... perhaps the roll-rate should be a lil' better.
Saetta, check your e-mail box. Dismissed! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
