And, It has a problem with gaming even though it has a great graphic card, a great processor, and lots of RAM and memory. So heres the problem, I get on Aces High It works fine for about an hour then it will start making a type of static sound, and when it starts I'll have to log off or it will freeze up and windows will shutdown on me. And when it makes the static sound it will give me mini freezes when I hear it.This problem is really getting on my nerves I haven't had this problem with any other computer I've had,btw my new comp has windows 7 64bit this is the only computer that I have with Win7,could Windows 7 have something to do with it? This problem will happen on some other games I play too.

Have you updated drivers since you got the new PC? Might be helpful to post your hardware as well.
-
A DXdiag would be most helpful.
:salute

Kinda have the same issue you do. i purchased a new gaming sytem from TigerDirect, an i5 750 processor with plenty of ram and a 1Gig video card, windows 7. I get frame freezes or shutters and locks up game time to time. I was told the onboard sound card is the problem. The system rocks but the sound card can't handle it so it ties up more ram from your computer. My new sound card suppose to have 64meg of X ram, will see if this solves my problem.

We'll I opened it up and found the graphics card to be a little loose tightened it up and it has worked good since If that didn't fix it I'll post my DxDiag.

let me know how that goes bravo. The only fix I could settle on was to have a dual boot windows XP. Game never fails in XP ;).
I tried various fixes / driver changes but it kept doing it. Can play other games fine. So it is either AH or win 7

What version of Win7 do you have Bruv and what kind of system is it on?
-
It's still working good bet that was the problem. :)

64 bit Professional.
E6600 2x 2.4
2 x 250 GB HD's
4 Gig DDR2
Audigy 2 Sound card.
Was a 640mb 8800 GTS now I have a new ati 5850 but haven't tried running AH in win7 with it yet (XP works fine)

You should be able to run AH in Win7 really well as long as you follow the guidelines...install to C:\ instead of C:\Program Files...there is something about the ATI control panel sytems that needs to be turned off too...you may have to turn the hardware acceleration down on that audio card.

Well, that didn't fix it,it still has a problem with the heatsink :furious I think, but I'm tired of dealing with this junky thing we're gonna try returning it this week. Oh and if your going to get a new computer I wouldn't recomend an asus atleast not for now, there's been alot of problems with them.
-
Hmmm well,I tried a new power supply and it's worked fine so far the graphic card requires a 525W power supply while the supply it had was a 485W so I guess I'll keep it if that fixed it... It's kinda confusing.

This game runs just fine in Windows 7 64pro.
I just built a new machine and am amazed how few resources AH uses for a modern computer:
i7-860 on Intel DP55KG board
Cooler Master Hyper 212 cooler
GTX 260 vid card (cheap, and I hate ATI)
TP550W Antec PS
160gig Intel SSD + 1 TB Raptor RAID + I TB HDD
Using motherboard audio :neener:
No stress at all running max settings @ 1920 x 1080. GPU runs 45C, CPU runs 35C. Yawn.
NEVER drops below monitor refresh rate.

Its funny you say that about Asus ..... I just had to RMA a brand new EVO AMD motherboard to new egg cause it was DOA. It surprised me because i've never had a problem with Asus until the last year or so . This is the 3rd board that ive returned for myself and customers in the last year ..... but i still have an old 2500+ Barton on an asus A7N8X dlx thats been overclocked for 7 years that will still fire up NP. lol
