I'm on a very tight budget, and am building a new machine. I have a pretty kick arse machine for the bang/buck so far, but right now, I have decided to stick with NVidia, basically I have been with them for over 10 years now.
Heres the deal. I can go with One
EVGA 01G-P3-N988-TR GeForce 9800 GT 1GB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Retail
Model #:01G-P3-N988-TR
Item #:N82E16814130534
Return Policy:VGA Standard Return Policy
In Stock
Mail in Rebate14-130-534
for 129 bucks, and a 20 rebate basically 109 bucks
or
EVGA 512-P3-N954-TR GeForce 9500 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Retail
Model #:512-P3-N954-TR
Item #:N82E
for 59 bucks, and run SLI with 2 cards
Need an opinion. Plus if I go 2 cards, I'd save 10 bucks, I also get a 20 dollar discount, 10 a piece

Get the single 9800 GT. The faster memory bus alone is worth it.

Agree... ---> 256-bit DDR3 is better than 128-bit GDDR2

Thanx

I have the 1G 9800 and love it.
Someones gonna say it but BestBuy didn't have the 512 in stock and it was Saturday and I absolutely had to replace my fried 7600 and fly RIGHT NOW. :lol

Just a heads up, Best Buy will run a special on the Galaxy Gforce 250 GTS 1 gig, 256 bit DDR3 this weekend at most of their locals..normally 179.00 for 153.00..yes, insider scoop.
Changeup
PS - Don't try to overclock it with the Xtreme Tuner software.....been there, done that. lol
