his plane
heres what happened: we were flying in formation and some idiot at the flying club comes down and tries to make us break formation, he went up, so did i. my plane cut his tail in half, and i put a big dent in my wing, but managed to get mine on the ground, e wasnt so lucky. good story to tell though

That's an easy fix!

I agree. I've fixed much much worse of my own.

Wow. That will make it all better when you get sucked into a 777 engine.
my point remains valid, it is the other pilots job to get out of the way. same thing in a sailboat, i have the right of way over a motorboat

I'm a CFIG and would never solo anyone with an attitude that that. You look good to wind up technically correct and actually dead.

do you think the pilot of the glider had a hell of alot of time to get out of the way either?
-
so your saying if a bird gets sucked into a jet engine its the pilots fault?
im in the process of getting my glider solo, and we have the right of way over plane w/o engines, because we are unpowered, and if they crash into me its there fault, same thing with getting rear ended in a car crash, if some idiot crashed into the back of you it doesnt make it your fault, idiot
that still doesn't mean that you "just keep going" because he has to turn. it's still your job to see and avoid.
-
Casca's and my point is this:
Fault doesn't matter if you're dead.

apparently your name is sluggish due to your brain function.....sluggish

your still missing my point, it doesnt matter if he saw it or not, still the pilot of the jets fault
What if the powered aircraft is in distress? Or if you are on base in the glider and he is on short final? This is the usual situation at our field. Who has the right of way then? Consult 91.113 for that. Ahhh...this flying is so confusing. Fault is completely irrelevant when discussing aviation safety; its a word that the lawyers use in the lawsuits that follow.
As far as hijacking the thread, you threw out the gliders. Good luck with it, seriously. I hope you are able to develop your temperament along with your motor skills.
You're welcome on the post count.

In the mean time we'll just keep working on your post count. If you encounter a moon landing in the locker room which vessel assumes liability?

Ah crap, too late. :D

You know if you were flying at 30K to conserve fuel a collision wouldve been adverted
