Title: What Is The Commander's Seat For In The Panzer?

I noticed that there is a commander's station in the Panzer.  What is its purpose when there is no MG to fire there? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)  Is it just for history's sake or what?

One thing you can do with it, after hitting the 3 key, hit F3, and you can pan in external view with your joystick for better vision.
