Title: Something Screwy With the Logs - Frame 2
Post by: AKP on February 13, 2010, 09:27:42 AM
Ok... there is something not right in the logs about last night.  Here are some examples:

SlipKnoT
22:14:33 Departed from Field #92 in a F6F-5
22:56:47 Helps WWhiskey shoot down Wulf149.
23:04:14 Vanished without a trace.
23:05:54 Departed from Field #2 in a Gunner-Observer
23:42:39 Arrived Safely at Field #2
23:42:39 Departed from Field #2 in a F6F-5
23:43:03 Tragically crashed.

After he was discoed, he joined my plane as a gunner for the rest of the flight.  Once we landed, we were both in the tower for the rest of the frame BSing and watching our squad come in.  He did not re-up in an F6F and then somehow magically crash 36 seconds before he reupped.  He was in the tower until we both logged for the evening.  The Fields should have been closed at this point anyway.

HIBYRD
22:13:49 Departed from Field #2 in a B-25C
23:05:56 Captured by enemy forces.

HIBYRD was in the bomber formation right next to mine for the whole flight.  He bombed the target with us, I saw his bombs hit, and then he lost 2 out of 3 ships to a NIK.  But, his 3rd plane landed with us back at A2.

Can someone look into this?  If these results are incorrect, they may be others on both sides that are incorrect.  I dont have film of last night (dont take the chance of anything causing me to disco or lose FR) but I know several in my squad do.

Will have a look at them. Sometimes errors do happen.

Thanks Squire... in HiBYRD's case... his "demise" in the logs seem to correspond with his lead bomber getting flamed.  But he hopped into a drone and continued the mission and landed.  Let me know if you need film.

Well...   ...at least (as of today) my vanishing act days are over.  No more "vanished without a trace" for me...   ..so sir, from here on out I either land or die!!!

I believe my getting discoed problem is finally over.  Thanks AKP for helping me figure it out.  I played 6 straight hours today and not even a minor lag today!

What was the issue that caused it?

What oak asked, what was the problem?

At this point, we think it was an issue with his high speed connection.  His DL speed was in the neighborhood of 1.5 MB and his upload was around 450 KB.  He made a call to his ISP and it sounds like it's fixed :)

Glad it was fixed.   :salute
