Anyone still play their old systems? NES, Gameboys, Nintendo 64 maybe? I found my old Gameboy Advanced SP when we were moving, and all the games still work and have the old saved data on them too! The one game I'm really hooked on now (which I loved when I first got) is "Megaman Battle Network 3 White". Even after you finish the game and beat the final boss there's a bunch of hidden bosses and stuff you have to find! So much fun!
Anyone still play Duck Hunt? :D

Every so often I'll play Duck Hunt online, theres a lot of flash versions around the web, still fun.
-
I play my old N64 quite often with Goldeneye, The World is not Enough, Rogue Squadron, and Star Wars Pod-Racing being some of the most used games in my set. Along with Star Fox, Pokemon Stadium and of course Star Fox.
-
Ever since I got my Wii, I've downloaded all my favorites on Virtual Console. That with combined with all my Playstation and Gamecube Atari collection titles has allowed me to pretty much retire all my old systems to tuppers in the basement.
Atari 400
Intellivision
Atari 2600
NES
SNES
N64
Gamecube
I only use my Wii and PS2 now.

My atari still works, sadly the sticks havent held up that well. :(
I still play the NES on occassion. My favorite older game is toejam and earl on the genesis. Thats a simply awesome game to play with a friend while inebriated. :)
I do get really pissed when we have IDed nearly all the presents, then the tard uses the randomizer one. :furious

acouple months ago a me and a few of my friends dropped our xbox360 controllers to go break out the N64 and played some Mario Party lol my eyes actually hurt since there use to a sharp image vs a fuzzy polygon running around
-
When I was in college (88-92), my friends and I dredged up an old Atari 2600. We used to play Space Invaders on the absolute hardest setting as a drinking game. Tons of fun, many laughs, and a few hangovers.
Lately, I stick to my gaming comp that Rich from TD built for me.

Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and 1080 still get some time on the old N64
-
I still plat C&C on my psone and many games on my ps2. Still turn on my WII and Xbox sometimes as well. My wife has an old atari 2600 and about 50 games that we play .
I guess thats about all except the DS and Philips CDI
Oh crap !!! Im a gamer

You know, sometimes I wish I had kept an old computer. There are quite a few old games that I used to love that simply won't run on newer machines. At least, I've never been able to get them to run.
-
All out older Systems got spread throughout the family when people left, I didn't keep any unfortunately. Loved Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Star Fox, Blast Corps and some others. Since I am the computer person of the family I mostly have older PC games, still have my original copy of Red Alert (the first one from '95, ya before EA bought out WestWood). :)
-
LOL one of my crazy hobbys!
i'm one of those who still like to play games older then most of the "old gaming systems" ;)
Below you can see my Amusement Room, mostly playing MAME Arcade games, but also all kind of other old gaming systems,
Atari, PC Engine, Dreamcast and so on. (btw. i collect all the real hardware too)
I build an external Control Panel for authentic arcade game feeling ;) playing this on two Mitsubishi 37" CRT monitors,
1 vertical (for shmups) and 1 horizontal for standard games.
Here you can see Pics from 2006 when i was building the external CP.

I still keep my old PS2 around too. My PS3 doesn't play PS2 games, and I'm absolutely obsessed with the Ace Combat series! I've been able to play AC4, AC5, and AC0 and still have 5 and 0 (my brother sold AC4 to gamestop :( Have to remember to buy another copy of that one), and I still go back and replay the missions over and over. I haven't been lucky enough to get the earlier AC games (and can't even find a place to buy them), or the newest AC6 since Xbox decided to keep it to itself :furious  :furious
I've bought the AC5 and 0 soundtracks and play them all the time while flying AHII, and my first choice for a handle on AHII was going to be Cipher :D .
It's really neat when you go back and place your old games and think "I remember this game being really hard" and then you blow through the levels.
-
I have been working on splinter cell for about ten years on my PS. I get so far and realize I made a mistake 3 levels ago that wont let me get any further. I then have to go back and start again even more conservative of ammo and tools. the Ps2 will probably die before I finish.

I did 4 shattered skies, great game, but way to easy.

Fired up the PS1 for the first time in a couple years the other day, popped in Syphon Filter, played about 30 seconds and said "nope". Tried my Intellivison a while back and it seems to have bought the farm. :(

Yeah I play heroes of the pacific Dogfight now and then, But carying 50 bombs and 20 rockets seems to make it a bit crappy. Its also real easy after getting off the computer.

Heck I still have my PS1. And after, idk, something like 10 - 12 years the things still works.
But i never use it. Now I'm addicted to the XBOX 360 and Modern Warefare 2 :x
I haven't played my PS2's in awhile. Gave em both to my younger siblings when i got the XBOX.
-
I play my PS2 on occasion.
I like playing Starwars Battlefront 1 and 2, so much fun when you play with some friends. Fighting a hoarde of droids and panicking when a Droideka turns up and we start yelling "ROLLY POLLIES".
But lately I have been doing something kids generally don't do anymore....... read.
I was a bit disturbed by this but when I get on AH2 and Rise of flight I just have tonnes of fun.

Do you remember G-Darius on the PS1? It was the first game I ever got for it, and it was awesome. Megaman Legends and Megaman X4 are close seconds though. I need to remember to buy a copy of Final Fantasy 7 to figure out the hype, and to get MMLegends 2.
N64-wise, I finally beat the Ocarina of Time last month. I'm still struggling to beat the tracks on Baroonda in Pod Racing, and just beat my high score in Pokemon Snap. Rogue Squadron is insanely hard. Kirby 64 is insanely fun still; the final boss fight against 02 is both fun and contains some of the best N64 music.
I know what you mean Latrobe, the Ace Combat series is awesome. Pacman, I must agree with you about how much fun Star Wars: Battlefront I & II are, though my BFI disk is scratched so badly that the background music is replaced with Wookie calls. :(

Syphon Filter was a great game back in the day. Playing it now though...kinda makes you see how far things have come and how we take it for granted, i imagine?

There's not really anything to take for granted IMO. I'm not a big console gamer anymore. I dumped my xbox when the drive went out, now the newest thing I have is a PS1, but I will buy another console sooner or later, like if GT5 ever actually gets released. I grew up on Intellivision and C64 and went through the whole progression. Video games/computers are the one thing in this world that I know barring armageddon will continue to improve as time goes on. For as long as I can remember I've been saying "think how great video games will be in 10 years" and they haven't disappointed. My only real beef with modern games is they are quite frankly too damn easy. There is no more "Game Over", now it's "You are dead, press X to respawn and keep going". My buddy rented Uncharted 2 a while back. It's honestly probably the best game I've ever played, good storyline, good gameplay, and absolutely stunning visually. The only problem was we tore through it in no time and when I went back and looked at the stats I think it was something like 8 hours of game time it took us. It left me wanting more, and there's no way in hell I would drop 60 bucks or whatever a console game costs these days on it.
Kind of off topic, but for those of you who are old school type gamers I recommend the movie The King of Kong: A Fistfull of Quarters. It's a documentary and the people in it are out of this world, and it goes way back to the glory days of the arcade.

Was playing DOOM on PS1 a few weeks ago. It is still fun. Best game ever.
-
I remember back on the PS1 when resident evil came out. Simply awesome game, then came RE2. Not quite as good as the first, but not terrible. But, oh lord. They ruined it for me with RE3.
But, they hit it out of the park when the gamecube hit the market and they re-did the original resident evil. Best RE game ever. And RE4 was simply amazing, im such a resident evil nerd that after beating them several times I would do speed runs and knife only runs.
-
I just bought the original Metal Gear Solid on the Playstation Network for 10 bucks. Im obsessed with the series and i just wish they would have 2 and 3 on there since my PS2 quit on me about 5 years ago :noid

Rolly Pollies? :rofl :rofl
I remember playing those games with friends too. So much fun can happen on those games.

-
Still have the original "brick" Gameboy, Sega Genesis, Atari, N64, PS1, and Gamecube.
My friends and I still have Goldeneye parties every so often, we even setup a projector and played it in one of the theaters at work. Although the new games of today are decent, many lack what alot of old games have and that's a story.
-
Still have a functioning "pong" machine, tho it's been about 2 years since I set it up to see if it worked still.
Also have a 2600 and controlers that work!
:salute
