Title: How is an Attack Airplane scored?

Here's what I like to do:

In the tower, I'll choose the Attack Aircraft category.  I like to select the P-47 and load it up w/bombs.  Then I go GV hunting, or I'll drop on town buildings or something.  Sometimes I land kills.  Sometimes I don't.

The thing is, regardless of how many kills I land, or damage I do, my score always says "You don't have an attack score yet."
So I guess I'm wondering how I get an attack score, assuming I'm doing it wrong above?

Make sure to select Attack in the hanger before the flight. There are two buttons (Fighter" and "Attack"), and those determine how the sortie is scored.
