Guppy kindly supplied me with this link (http://www.hyperscale.com/2010/reviews/decals/aviaeologypreviewmp_4.htm) to a decal set for a 245 Squadron Typhoon plastic kit decal set made by Aviaeology. I ordered the decals and used the data sheet which has photos, history and drawings to produce this skin. The version of the aircraft shown on th link has a blue and white checkered band, a repainted teeth area and a blue and white spinner. Unfortunately these are post VE Day additions so I had to delete them and go for the less colourful WW2 version they show on the plans.
As skinned the aircraft has 1945 style RAF markings with yellow bordered roundels top and bottom, a black spinner and a fairly hard edged camo scheme. The shark mouth paint is well worn, as shown by the only pre VE Day shot of the aircraft I have. The only real problem I had was the area just under the spinner, which is horribly stretched on the AH Typhoon. I haven't been able to skin the teeth to this area as a result.
This aircraft nicknamed "Sharky" was flown by several 245 Squadron pilots, including Flt Lt. Geoff Murphy, Sqd. Ldr Tony Zweiberg and the Canadian Harrison Taylor Mossip.

The Few very much enjoy all these new Typhoon skins. :D
Guppy, take this for what it's worth, I feel like the paint could do with a bit more shine and maybe a lighter and richer Red for the shark mouth?
-
I'm a sucker for sharks' mouths!
For that reason alone I'll use this and only this skin whenever I fly a typhy! :salute

Thanks guys, glad you like it. I've adopted Kazaa's suggestions and lightened the red in the mouth a bit as well as upping the specularity 50% to make it reflect light more. Judging from the B&W photos I have I don't think the red would be any lighter than this, the red in the mouth is definitely darker than the red in the roundels.

Greebo,
I don't know why I called you Guppy in my first response, sorry. Would you be so kind to upload this skin to a filesharing site as I would love to take a more detailed look at it offline, if pos.
From the screen shots you posted, it looks like you've got the colour spot on!
The specularity raise has worked wonders where previously the skin had way to much of a mat/dull feel.

Betty will love that skin
