Title: Can you download just the ah film viewer?
Post by: TnDep on February 16, 2010, 08:51:08 AM
My work computer I would like to watch some of the dueling matches.  Can you download just the ah film viewer by itself?

I'm pretty sure you can't.  The film viewer uses the game engine - which is why you can't play films while running the game.

My film viewer all of sudden crapped out. Crashes when I try to start a film.

Check the bug reports forum... New terrains nerfed older films that used the older terrain versions. Apparently there's a fix in the works but bad news is it'll be here in "2 weeks."

If you have a large enough jump drive, you can install Aces High on it. It has the film viewer as well. The entire AH folder is only 886 MB, so some films shouldn't be that much in terms of data quantity. Better yet, put films on one stick, and the game on the other. That way, you use it on not only the work computer, but any other computer you find.

Got this from a thread I made a long time ago about using the 8-player LAN mode on school computers. Have yet to try it though.
