There seems to be TWO glitches in the TT area on this map.
1. Most, if not all the bases will not flash on TT when there is an enemy fighter inside the DAR ring NOE of the corresponding base.
*A fighter can NOE and deack every Vbase with no flash or indication he is there. It will flash at air bases only if inside air base radar. It will not flash while at a Vbase and/or the Air base even if the Air base radar overlaps the Vbase. Using this picture, you can deack 86 and 87 even though the radar of the air base (85) overlaps them and it still will not flash.
2. It will however only flash 1 base (V86) when an NOE goon is at any of the other Vbases.
*Seems to only flash 86 and only 86 when there is a goon NOE at any of the Vbases, will not flash with a fighter NOE at Vbases. So 86 will be flashing even though the goon is dropping troops at 87 or 88 or 89, yet the corresponding base that the goon is located does not indicate it by flashing.
Not sure if it has something to do with the type of aircraft that is inside the dar ring or not, I have seen LA7's, Mossies, 109's NOE at these Vbases deacking with no flashing from any of them. Only with goons will 1 base flash (86) and they can be at any other Vbase without a flash from the corresponding base.
EDIT: sorry skuzzy for the multiple posts, computer kept locking up on each attempt.

I heard the bishops cut funding for their radar system to increase funds for the blitzkrieg of TT, looks like it paid off :D.
On a serious note, I have noticed that TT radar and darbar can be a bit loopy sometimes. I've seen the darbar bounce around where it looks like 10 planes were popping dar then dropping back NOE for hours on end, and there were no planes in the area.

The center of any map on a crowded night will act funny with respect to radar.

This a fairly well known situation I don't know if you could call it a bug. If all the bases were to flash for a single air con in enemy radar air space you would have half of the enemy bases flashing with just a single contact due to the dencity of the TT V-bases.
Look at it as an opportunity for taking back bases on the island when the other country has dominated it completely & let the fun of TT island be returned & shared by all again. I know I certainly have taken a few bases back when one country has owned it all.

The pic I used is just after bish took TT back and evicted the rooks. I could imagine how bad that would be if all the bases would flash for one con, however that isn't the case, there are absolutely no bases flashing even with minimal people on as was this day, there were even less on TT island.
When you say that what I described as being a glitch is a "fairly well known situation"-amongst who? I may be out of the gaming loop but I assure you that I have never heard of this specific glitch and it surely is not common amongst the players I am with, definitely not gamed.
I know there have been radar glitches with this map but not this specific glitch as I have described.
I have only seen the same 3-5 gaming this glitch thus far.

This is how TT was taken by the rooks before it was dominated by anyone. So in essence the glitch is not being used to get it back, its being used to take it.

I noticed the TT bases just falling like domino's when this map appeared some time back & yet none of them flashed. So I sat in the tower of a base & recorded & came back to the game & sure enough I was no longer in the tower of that base. After viewing film exactly what you described in your initial post had taken place.
I did this for a few more days & found that the individuals who had been doing this were all from one squad.
So I tried it to figure out all the quirks & found all the things you have mentioned. I had shared all of what you have found with any & all Bish that cared to listen.
I had also discussed this with a well known player who is a Rook who was well aware of this glitch & he was under the opinion that it was an issue like I had described & it was probably left this way as a means for no one country to own the Island.
So I thought leave well enough alone hence why I never posted it in this forum.
From my experience when one country owns the island so long as you don't break the airfields radar rings you can approach from certain angles & get a specific v-base to flash & all you do is stay away from that base & de-ack any & all of the bases you want you don't even need to take out the soft guns. Return to base get your goon get the v-base flashing that you want to flash then go to what ever one you de-acked & land & let the troops run.
Now much to the frustration of the squad that I learned this from they became very annoyed when I was sitting by the map room each & every time waiting for them. I received a few Pm's as to how I knew where they were going all the time & how I kept finding the NOE goon. Film viewer is my friend & learn how to use god mode was always my reply.
Now the squad in question was a Rook squad & for a while the Rooks had the habit of taking the entire island. Now that a lot of the Bish know this same quirk the Bish take it over quite a bit too. Now ask your self how often do the Knights take the entire island? Not very often so I would say they have not been informed yet ??? Until now :D

Interesting. I was on when the bish started to hit TT island, they did it the hard way. Had they known about this way I am sure someone would have taken advantage of it. At least now the ones reading this will know what to look for.

actually they did know about this way...... as I busted their goons trying to land @ 90 while only 92 flashed
then a while later they did it the hard way (50 lancstukas)
