Title: Win7 64bit - using usigned drivers
Post by: Kirin on February 25, 2010, 02:45:03 AM
Greetings aces

Somwhere buried in the MWLL thread I posted a question concerning running unsigned drivers in Win7 64bit. Now I decided to put it up in the Hardware forum so I might profit from the massed nerd experience in here...  ;)

What I want is to install and run PPJoy. It's a neat utility that let you build a 'virtual joystick' device within windows to use in your games. It's especially usefull for older games that do not support multiple controllers. And you can build crazy stuff like a 'mech' controller using 2 joysticks and whatnot.

Now, PPJoy is a single man project and not digitally signed my M$. When I try to run it I get the mandatory error message that my system won't load unsigned drivers and that I should change that in the control panel.

So what I tried so far:

None of these worked. Always giving me the same error message mentioned above.

Why I want to run PPJoy in the first place? Well, Logitech has a premium hardware piece with their G940 but a very lacking driver/profiler software which will show the HOTAS as 3 different devices in Windows.  MWLL only supports a singe control device - so I am stranded.

Maybe one of you tech geeks knows anohter way to install the abovementioned driver/program...  :pray[/list]
