Great stuff there Bohica! I have heard that its a tough program to complete.

I think it has a 80-85% washout rate. I guess as far as physical training it's one step under SEAL. He is going to be stationed in CT at a research navy base. I told him not to let them to make him grow gills and fins!

WTG :salute

Hey that's great! I have an older second cousin who made it through navy diving school but washed out of seal training because he couldn't grow the required muscle mass. They had him on several thousand protein-heavy calories daily, and he just couldn't meet the strength requirements. He remained a diver though, and I think he retired as a Commander.

Congrats to him!!! Very tough school from talking to people I know. I have 2 friends who went through that. 1 washed out, other made it. He now does underwater repair for bridges/oil rigs and salvage diving.

Congrats and tell him thanks from this old Tanker for serving.
