Title: What a morning
Post by: Spikes on February 27, 2010, 09:46:24 AM
Normally I am constantly worried about upping 262s due to internet problems (decides to randomly go out sometimes) but this morning it was running fine...hadn't discoed yet. So I rolled a 262 into Fighter Town to fight teh horde! Got about 2 miles from base on climbout when my dad walks in and tells me the electrician is going to shut off power in the room I am in. I yank my 262 around to land and tell him to wait one second. Soon as I get level the power shuts off.

So after a bit of cursing I start my computer back up, get back in game and roll again, same loadout etc. OTR the power shuts off again. I guess now I know the bathroom and the office power is tied together.  :furious Now my Fighter Perk bank is down to 11.  :(

So here I sit, on my laptop, afraid to turn my machine back on in fear it may shut off again.

I have the worst of luck some days...if it's not my internet shutting off it's my power getting shut off (on purpose).

I feel better now.  :)

You should have waited till the electrician left.......  Or at least until you knock him, by accident, with a power tool.

And don't worry too much.....  Mine is usually down below 100 all the time.  Get out of your 234 Attacker and fly a Mossie for a little while, it'll be back before you know!   :aok

Maybe the electrician plays aces high :joystick:, and he is tired of getting picked off by your 262  :devil  :noid

Yesterday i decided to up B17s to hit the enemy city about a good 8 sectors away and got discoed 50 miles from home. Two pages of objects destroyed, a 163 kill and 2 hours flight time all down the drain  :furious I wanted to take a framing hammer and smash everything in arms reach  :lol

I don't even want to hear your whines about 262 flights.  !st, I cannot hit anything with those 30mm (see separate rant thread of mine) Mk108 tater launchers.  2nd, yesterday I up one and find some lancs below me but take a PW on the 1st diving pass; decide to RTB but bump into a f6f 1pass & 1 yo-yo later he is toast but i have to land at a vbase & worry about making 'crete b4 going 'bang' because of the PW (i managed to make it with 1 blackout left).  THEN I get another later in the day but all i can find is low TnB fights (grrrr), finally someone in a Yak makes a mistake & I pounce,BUT I hit a piece of debris; guess what:  another friggin' PW.  Flight home takes me into a furball near our base, but all the enemy cons dive to the deck.  Well, i decide to land it on a CV rather than let any of those dirt-huggers vulch me on landing.  So once again I get it down just before PW death takes me.

But thanks to some suggestions by experten 262 hands; today's 262 flights should yield me some BUFF scalps (unless 999000 is on) in heaps & heaps.
