Title: Mic decided to not work?
Post by: Ruler2 on February 28, 2010, 08:25:28 PM
I was playing this evening, and until about an hour ago my mic was working fine, now it wont work no matter what I do, I went through windows and it said it was working, but the only way I can raise the activity bar is if I scream or blow onto the mic extremely loud. I turned the micboost and volume all the way up and I still don't have any luck, does anyone have any ideas as to what caused this and what I can do fix it?

What kind of mic?  Sounds like a broken mic or cable. Mine did that awhile back.

It's a Logitech mic. I thought it may have been the cable too, because it's kinda chewed up, but its worked that way for over a year now... And for my other one that WASNT chewed up to not work either...

You didn't mention whether it's part of a headset, but many of them have a mute button near the volume control.  Make sure to check for that.
