In another thread I posted about getting my Daughter a camaro. She thinks it is coming into the dealership in a couple more weeks and that we will look at it and decide if we want to purchase it.
Well I found out the chevy house closer in had one on the way with everything the first one had except the sunroof. I was leary of the sunroof anyway and it changed the roof line. Yesterday, as luck would have it, I called the salesman to let him know I'd be down to put hold money on it. Late yesterday morn he calls me and tells me it just came in. The Wife and I go by last night and purchase the car.
Now the fun starts. Our Daughter still thinks the machine will be in sometime in the next 2 weeks. When she comes in friday we are going to run down to the chevy house under the pretense of talking to the salesman about one they have coming. After talking to him as we leave they will pull the car around with a 4 foot bow on it and the guy will get out and hand our Daughter the keys.
Open to more ideas. I have till friday evening when she comes in from A&M.
Hopefully she will be as surprised as she was when she got her first car. That worked out great.

Shuffler,
I think your on to something right now....
She must be a real good kid (good dad too!) to deserve something like this, congrats on your daughters success and bright future.

Replace the bow with Zap, I'm 6 foot and cream colored. :D
-
hehe you could tell the salesman to tell her GM delayed it for 6 weeks due to the high volume of sales and you can always pick something else out ( like some dorkie car lol )and have it there all shiney and ready to go
-
Shuff, just to add a twist to your idea (which is great). Take her to the dealership and "have her consider a Cobalt instead, as they just don't have the Camaros readily available". But try and sell it for a bit. :devil You've obviously raised a great daughter and regardless of what you do come Friday, she'll be happy.

<---available for adoption but I want a Mustang
Thanks Daddy!!

do what masher said.....but have your wife sneak the car home, so that when you get home from shopping for her cobalt, her new car is waiting in the driveway. :aok

The story on the bow is that my Wife ordered it to put on the mustang. It came in the day after we gave it to her. So now we get use after all.

Very cool? How much? :P
Can't get a Stang anyway till I move away from NY...otherwise I'd need a car and a 4wd to get up the hill I live on in the winter.
Found an 04 Red Stang on craigslist for 7,9...38K miles on it, lowered.
Pretty damn good for only 38K miles.
-
Shuff,
Is there something she just hates doing?? putting garbage out,dishes,whatever... have the car hidden, make her do that chore she hates, have it lead her to the car just when she's most upset about doing the chore then sit back and enjoy!!
Nothing like seeing the 180 happen.....going from Ogre to Daddy is a reward you have to experience.
Did this to my son,he wanted a bike, told him it was too expensive and sometimes you just dont get everything you wanted for Xmas.We then made him cleanup all the wrappings and stuff and put out into garbage.....guess what was in the garbage shed??? Well it made my day.... Try it,you might enjoy the outcome,I sure did! hardest part is keeping a straight face.. :devil

careful on craigslist dude.
i just had a guy try to scam me with a rollback. he's trying to avoid face to face contact, based on the fact that he's about to be deployed to iraq. THAT line makes me wanna injure him, seeing as i know he's trying to scam me. worst part is, he tried telling me how he's a member of the ebay community, although i found the ad on craigslist. he wanted to ship it to me. told me 5 to 7 days. i told him i'm only 2 hours way, i'll drive up, pay if i like it, and load my car and drive home. haven't heard back since.
a customers kid just got scammed buying a honda crx in pa. the car's impounded right now.

Good idea but she never had issues with chores.... just had to be reminded sometimes.
The Mustang will probably go on the block for 6500. Already have a lot of interest. Several guys at Budeweiser, where my Wife works, are interestedp.

Steal her iPod and have it plugged in already? Box of cookies
in the glovebox? One of her friends in the passenger seat when it's pulled out front?
Just a couple ideas. Catelog of things to possibly work the motor?

Whatever u decide let us know how it all goes down. Very cool. :aok
-
There are some really nice looking camaros and mustangs running around here these days.
Good Lord..... steal her iPod????? I think it is surgically attached to her. :rofl
Already found out hot to setup her phone real quick.
Press the phone button on the wheel or dash and say "bluetooth" and the car will say ready. Then say "pair" and the car will say turn on unit" (or something like that) then turn on your phone and you'll see it listed. You can pair up to 5 bluetooth items.
I think she'd enjoy talking to her car more than I would :rofl
This thing has some cool stuff on it. When you put it in reverse it beeps once inside. When you back up and get within 5 feet of an object it starts beeping and gets faster as you get closer.
-
Seems like the beeping would be a feature on the BAT mobile....HAHA i crack myself up

No matter how you giver her the car, just make sure you check the trunk in case either Raptor or Zap managed to find their way into it! :)

WOW! You must be very proud of your daughter! It must feel great knowing she is financially set to a point where she can buy a brand new Camaro! Those things are nice! It is also cool you help her pick it out! Did you help her pick out the Mustang when she bought it? :aok
-
Shuffler might be in jail after a "trunk with a surprise". :uhoh

Fully successful surprise......

We went to the Woodlands for a carshow today and met with 12 other camaros then drove into the staging area to be parked. They all said it was the first Synergy they have seen and that it would create a lot of buzz. Well it did and all was a great time.
It is definitely one of the first bought in Texas. I won't get the numbers for a few days to see if it was the first.

Wow pretty car, i love the Color :aok O of Oregon Green i love it!!!
