My guess for the tanks is some sort of water/methanol injection system?
That white plastic looking container is bound to hold water, the allow looks too small for fuel.

It is a N1K2-J the tanks in the pic(s) are for oil(furthest forward),hydrulic fluid(the smaller upper one),The lower tank is for Methanol. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
