Title: Concept plane arena
Post by: kingcobradude on March 05, 2010, 04:16:35 PM
I think it would be great to have an arena for the crazy concept aircraft of ww2, such as the ones found here http://www.luft46.com/.

The concept arena was suspended a while back. It was nicknamed CT. Rumor has it Hitech was using it to phase out human players (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,199087.0.html). Sadly enough, the insider who broke the story mysteriously disappeared.

Go ahead and try to find good, or any, flight test data for such aircraft.   Go on, try.

Good luck with that.  (Hint: Look into what would be required to even begin to use such a method to get a basic performance envelope.)

There is test data for the Me163.  It had a full development cycle including performance testing and then it was produced in mass and put into service.

Concept planes, by their definition, are scribbles on paper.
