This is my skin of "They Satisfy", a P-47N of the 318th FG/19th FS based on Ie Shima in 1945. This was the mount of Lt Jim Weir who was the artist responsible for a lot of the non-PC noseart that adorned the 318th's aircraft. This scheme combines pre-June 45 blue cowlings with post-June 45 yellow and black tail stripes.

Excellent work as usual bro. :aok

What's the coloration (black?) by the fuselage exhaust flaps (by the star-and-bar)?
Is that some coloring on the real plane, or more a depiction of the flap being "fully open?"
Just curious.

GIT SUM Greebo!! Nice another boobie P47!!

Ty guys. Nice spot Krusty, I didn't see that. The dark area is caused by a sort bug in the P-47N 3D shape. At distance it is showing the dark area that sits behind the turbo air exit flap above the flap itself. As your viewpoint gets closer the problem gradually disappears. I'll take some more screenshots and post a bug report tomorrow.

Nice looking P47 greebo. :aok

Very odd behavior re: the spot.
I did not run into that problem when I did my other 47N skins. Must be a new bug.
P.S. I just confirmed the same thing you did, it's visible and acts the same way in the skin viewer!

IIRC there used to be another sorting bug on the P-47N where the rear bulkhead was visible at certain angles. Maybe this bug got introduced when that one was fixed.

Bug or no, another beauty Greebo. <S>
