Title: Sheep extraction
Post by: Ack-Ack on March 15, 2010, 06:54:12 PM
S.A.P.P has always been a big proponent of sheep and all of our members volunteer their time in trying to save as many sheep in the warzone as possible by herding them and moving them to S.A.P.P sponsored shelters and farms.  Because of the fluid dynamics of the warzone with its shifting MLR, it has been increasingly difficult to drive trucks into the warzone to extract the sheep to safety.

Working with the USAAF, we were able to modify the extraction system that the USAAF developed for downed pilots over Europe to fit sheep and have successfully field tested this system.  We in S.A.P.P would like to propose this system be added to the game to further assist in our endeavors in making sure that each and every sheep in AH is moved to a safe area.  Thank you for your consideration.

<grain os salt> I read somewhere once that this was tried with a pig and a c47, on pickup the pig spun wildly all the way up to the goon and when dragged into the cargo bay was completely disorientated and attacked the crew causing a crash. <grain of salt>

Someone obviously doesn't understand the value of a well groomed sheep.

You might get your woll from Ireland, but the largest wool exporter is Australia.

It doesn't matter where the sheep comes from, as long as its in danger by being in a warzone, we are obligated to make sure the sheep are kept safe and out of harms way.  Think of the sheep for once instead of yourself, just be thankful it's not your sheep stuck in the warzone.

did you watch the film we made during testing?  people like you make me sick...sure, you're the first in line to exploit our poor ovis friend but when the time comes and they ask for our help, you abandon them.  Remember that the next time you put on that wool sweater.

I prefer cotton

first off, I havent seen a sheep yet in this battlefield setting of AH
second, it was never used outside of development and research
third, if we spent the resources saving sheep at the first hint of japan going after australia, japan would have been victorious

the only way I see this working is have the c47 drop troops or supplies, and pick up sheep on the way home

That's because S.A.P.P. has been so successful in their endeavor to save all the sheep. You should have seen it before you got here the sheep were everywhere.

When you leave sheep around in a battlezone an unstoppable force meets an imovable object.

Once you got the sheep onboard the C-47's, are you gonna airdrop them as the new sheepfantry?

No, they're shipped to PTO to become Black Sheep.

Once the sheep have been safely extracted from the battle zone, they are transported aboard specially modified transport planes to our undisclosed brothel...err I meant sanctuary far from the war zone.

Yes, think of the sheeps for once.   I like this idea!
