Title: LA7 vs LA5

I have noticed that the AH cockpits for these two aircraft are much different.  Is this the case for the actual planes?

not really fro mwhat i know LA 5 turns better from lower weight but the La7 is heavier cuz its more or less a LA5 with an UBERMEGA ENGINE strapped/bolted on.

The La7 was introduced with build 1.07, the La5 has been around since at least 1.03 (maybe earlier, but I came on board then and it was here).

The La7 cockpit benifits from improved 3D modeling. Might be time (since 1.08 has arrived) to spruce up some of the older birds.  :D

Hobodog - the engine of the La-7 is the same as the La-5FN, i.e. the ASh-82FN, rated at 1850 hp.

As for the thread topic, I don't see why there should be much difference between the La-5FN and La-7 cockpits. The La-7 is mainly different due to aerodynamic and material changes.

The AH cockpit only has a passing resemblence to its real life counterpart. For instance, neither the La-5FN or La-7 actually hard an artificial horizon.

Personally I'd rather see a few more aircraft added before cockpit's are revisited.   :)
