I believe I posted this in the wrong forum so here we go again. I was in the T-34 today and noticed that it had 3 types of ammunition for the main gun. They are HE (High Explosive), AP (Armor Piercing) and HVAP (Hypervelocity Armor Piercing). In my limited knowledge I have never come across HVAP ammo for the 76.2mm F34 gun used on the T-34. If someone with more information on the subject could direct me to a source referencing this ammo I would really appreciate it.

Just found my answer. It is also known as the APCP (Armour-Piercing Composite Rigid), the British designation. US designation was HVAP (High Velocity Armour-Piercing)
