Title: FSO is on for this Friday the 19th

Gents,

FSO is on for this Friday night.
HTC has stated, “I would like to see a crash, what ever it takes.”

Regardless of what takes place tonight we will host Frame 2 tomorrow Friday the 19th of the current FSO. If it crashes tonight (Thursday) and then again Friday night it gives them twice the data to work with.

Please understand the primary purpose of holding the frame this Friday is to induce a crash. If it does crash please do not re-enter the arena.

Depending if or when the crash happens Friday night the results of the frame will be dealt with by Ghostdancer.

Please share this with your squad. A follow up e-mail will be sent out tonight.

Well it didn't crash last night so maybe we'll get lucky tonight.
Daddog you think it might be a good idea to have squads stagger their start by like 30 seconds or a minute to help prevent a crash? I think most would want to try to get the frame in rather than wait until 11pm on a Friday night to try to crash a server for troubleshooting, especially 2 weeks in a row.  :pray

We could do that, but if by chance it did prevent a crash then HTC would not be any closer to squashing this bug.

If it crashes we will lock the arena and call it a night. That will give HTC something to work with.  :aok

If it does not crash, cool for our FSO community.  :aok

A win/win situation. :)

Is there a chance that we can have both SEA1 and SEA2 setup for the scenario?  We could start up in SEA 1 with everyone going OTR the same time.  If it crashes then Falcon gets to have his broken server and we get a chance re-start say 15 mins later in SEA 2 with stagger start?  And if it doesn't crash then even better.  :cheers:

Ham that is a great idea, but 'events' are assigned their own Special Events Arena. FSO is assigned SEA I. If SEA II was not going to be used I suppose we could have done something like that, but Scenarios are assigned to SEA II and Saturday, (tomorrow) they are running a Scenario Frame.
