The Mustang in question may very well be a P-51K. This can be determined by the cuffless prop and the slightly different shape at the back of the canopy. The P-51K was essentially a P-51D built in the Dallas factory, utilizing an Aeroproducts hollow steel propeller and the revised canopy. While it's difficult to be sure with the photograph provided, it does appear to have the Aeroproducts prop.
