Title: TAKE A VET FISHING
Post by: rod367th on March 24, 2010, 09:19:35 PM
Any one in a "Take a vet fishing" organization, If so how does it work i see branches in D.C. area but can't find one in Michigan. If your in one how does it exactly work, seen websites but no answers to emails. Anyone from Michigan with info would be real nice, pacerr, betty, kayra etc. Would like to know fast if possible while i still have 2 small fishing boats so i could get helper to take some in other boat make good group outing once a month.

I have my old bass boat invader 16ft 65johnson still runs well. was going to sell  but if vets could use i would be willing.

and my new 16ft smokercraft we could use both if I could find someone close by in central michigan who would be able to pull either boat so we could take out more vets.

I'm from Michigan and I don't think we have a program like that here.  But if it's something your interested in, go to your local VFW hall and let them know your willing!

Yuck ... I wouldn't eating anything caught in the hahbah with your mouth, and if you took those bass boats outside the hahbah, you would spend more time trying not to fall overboard than you would fishing.

 ;)

Heheh when I was kid I spent countless hours on Houghton Lake with my dad, we had a cottage there, but now I live in AZ and don' t fish much in the desert.  Have you tired to contact the DNR they might know of such a program.

Rod, I have a VFW basically right around the corner from me.   Gimme a couple weeks and I'll poke around and see what I can come up with.
