Title: Is the 2 week free trial active?
Post by: czpilot on March 25, 2010, 06:34:23 AM
Hi guys. I wanted to try the free trial of AH. I created trial account and when I first log into arena I got message something like: " Your free time expired. Do you want to subscribe?" I never tried this trial before. My friend tried to make trial account too and got the same message.
So what this means? Is the free trial active or do I need to subscibe first and after that I get free 2 weeks?

Do as FLS just mentioned. One possile reason why you guys may be getting this message is that your IP addresses may have been used by another user/subscriber of AH. Chances are, your home network uses Dynamic Host Control Procol (DHCP) and has a leased public IP address that is used for connection to the outside world. Since the IP addresses are leased, they were likely used by other people in this world.

But thats just me rambling on. Just contact HTC.

I would suggest NOT beginning your 2 week trail until you practice offline. Get proficient enough to take off, climb out, attack the drones a few times and land some hits. Why waste the 2 weeks if you can't get off the ground?  :D

It's a timed countdown, is all I mean, and the more time you spend getting help with the trainers (which I would suggest), the less you have to get hooked on the in-game action!

You're talking about internal private addressing. When you hit your home router and go onto the internet that DHCP address gets translated with NAT(Network Address Translation) to go out - (the ip address you were given by the ISP + a random port number).

Thank you guys for advices. I use public IP so perhaps it was used previously. I will try to contact that AH billing mail.

13 months of being away from AH does not qualify for a new free 2 week trial.

Heck if you flew AH before you know all you need to know.

Welcome back LOL!!!!  NOT !!!  What a looser. Just because gamestop will let you play games for free doesn't mean everyone should. $15 to try the game isn't that big a deal either. Time to grow up Vixen !!

Oh and in IN !

Vixen the 2 week free trial is still available for new members. I think the number of paying subscribers who have quit because they no longer get 2 weeks free is lower than you imagine.

I just upgraded my computer system, new vid card, new server, new IP addess etc... & even after 13+ months of being gone, i still don't qualify for a free 2-week into period, seems that downloading the 2.21 patch 2 on top of your old 2.14 doesn't qualify you as a "new member" even tho the game has transitioned dramatically.

Vixen the 2 week free trial is still available for new members.

See that Vixen?  NEW members...you are not a new member, you've already at least had the free trial.  Why would you think you're entitled to another free trial when you admit to have played before?  Reality check...you are no different than anybody else in this matter.  The way you think, any time a vendor makes an update to their product, we should all be entitled to some kind of free "test" period?  Hmmmm, I could use a new car for a couple of weeks - Ford has made some upgrades to the Mustang since the '76 model I drove in the '80's...maybe I should email them.

Calling HTC jackmules isn't going to help your cause.

I like the car idea.  We should be able to test drive the new models for 2 weeks every year.
