Looks more like that japanese C-47 replica under US markings.

Take note of the organization that had custody of this aircraft. Technical Air Intelligence, SWPA (Southwest Pacific Area). This is obviously a captured Showa built L2D2, which owes its origins to a licence granted to Mitsui in 1938 to manufacture the Douglas DC-3 (C-47 in military service).
