My new CH throttle is giving me a problem. In windows when I tried to calibrate it, it won't give me full throttle. The last five percent is unattainable. I haven't loaded the CH software, is that the problem?
-
some have had that problem, not mine tho :) A work around is when it says to move through the full movement to calibrate it, don't push it all the way forward. That way when you do push it all the forward you'll get that little bit more that your missing.

If you are using CHControlManager calibrate your throttle (and your flight stck and pedals) there and u will be golden. :salute

Not sure about that. I've been using CH gear for ages and still use analog pedals via a gameport->USB adapter and ditched CHControl Manager years ago. Everything is mapped within AH and have never had a problem. If you want to get to the real down to earth nitty gritty about CH, get ahold of AkAK, send him a PM as he was a CH tech rep. and knows the stuff inside and out and he has always been first rate in helping folks with CH gear questions.
All the Best...

Thanks to you all for your input. I will try to contact AkAK......

The movable part of the throttle does move completely too, correct? As in there is nothing binding or preventing the throttle traveling to the max.
Just double checking the obvious :)
-
It moves all the way. In game I get wep but the man. pressure never goes to e6b ratings.
-
It must be registering as full throttle if you get WEP.
WEP won't run unless you're at the stops already.
Open up Aces High, offline or online. go to clipboard, controls, map controllers, and on your throttle select the axis you have mapped to throttle and hit the "advanced" button.
This will pop out a side page on the clipboard. Move the throttle to maximum and minumums. Does one of the vertical display boxes have a green lines that moves as you move the throttle? See if it goes all the way up or down.
Also, try calibrating just this axis. Don't forget to try returning the lever to the 50% poing before clicking the button to accept your new calibration.
In general, if you calibrate in windows, then calibrate in AH, you should be good to go.
Meaning Windows may only see 95%, but in AH it will set new max/mins based on what it can calibrate in-game. It will use what you have as its max/mins.

By the way, different manifold pressures are attained at different altitudes. Not all E6B listings can be reached all the time. It would be best if you can provide a plane, altitude, current airspeed, and description of the other settings when you encounter this.

If you use Control Manager and do as The Fugitive says you should be able get 100% of throttle. This also applies to RPM settings, I use the wheel to the left of my CH Fighterstick. I usually leave a bit of a "gap" at the end of the throttle throw. I am not sure about mixing gameport and USB devices. Good luck!
Oh and btw, this applies to both ends of the analog range.
