Not sure how to make this work with AcesHigh but it looks like they have a flight sim in the works for it.
Wow!

That...is....AWESOME.
I wonder what would happen if you decided to pull straight vertical at 400mph on the deck in a plane...
-
I like the big red abort button. It's gotta be fun if it requires an "Oh S&%*! Stop this thing now!" button.

needs a barf bag too, but WOW how much fun would that be.

Never would my A6M see an other forced stall roll if I knew I was going to spin around with it... :noid

From the way it was handling on that game, looks like its turned up too high

What about falling off a cliff?

IMO, the wild tilting is not about going up and down hills on the track. It's about using gravity to simulate the forces on your body due to acceleration. The exaggerated tilting backwards and forwards, respectively, ensures gravity pulls you back in the seat when accelerating and throws you forward against the straps when braking. Likewise, the sideways tilting is so that gravity pulls you to the sides of the seat when cornering (cornering is also a form of accceleration).
Looks very cool. Might play havoc with TrackIR though!

I wonder if a mini gyro based wireless unit would be better than IR in something like that.... :headscratch:

my gawd.......
 :x

Too much movement due to the lack of vehicle weight for that game. Having driven a high horsepower race car before I know what they feel like and you certainly don't jump around that much but it is purely because of the weight.

Darn penguins always worried about falling off cliffs! :devil

Like Gorkle says it's all about using gravity to try and simulate the G forces you would normally feel in the car. High end flight simulators do the same thing. Unfortunately without a cage around this unit to block the outside world i think it would just serve to reincarnate whatever you just ate.
-
I went in a simulator at indy a few years ago that simulated a lap of bathurst with Craig Lowndes in a v8 falcon and thats exactly how it worked but you were closed in and it felt very realistic.
-
Best simpit I've seen yet, also the scarest!!!
-
Suppose to be on a motorbike? Looks screwed up that example, leaning right when he turning left and vice versa...
28k complete waste of money could buy a real track bike and still have plenty left over for a whole years worth of track days, tyres and maintenance.

nope thats correct, turn left and your body is forced the right just like IRL, its a car not a bike remember. for a bike sim presumably you'd mostly be leaning back in a turn to simulate the force down through the seat.
-
You can buy a plane for $28,000.
-
WOW seems like it wants to toss ya out lol.... heres another one which i bet would cost way less to build and little more tame lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEPxcoX7ivk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEPxcoX7ivk)

I rode this one at San Diego air and space.
LOL the guy running the thing was impressed that I even got it off the ground with no help. He said most people cant even get it of the runway.

This is the flight sim i want :x

...invest it. At 4% interest (somewhat modest) and with quarterly compounding, you will be $3495.8 dollars richer in a year. Assuming current inflation of 2.14%, you still are coming out well ahead. :old:
Or you could buy the silly vomit machine. Your choice. :devil

true, I bought a track ready CBR400 for two grand a few years ago. What to do with the other 26?
-

Really I havent seen a car do wheelies before through any gear let alone 3. Or thats what it looked like with amount of degrees moving up each time.. Oh well..
Who the heck would want to simulate a frig cage anyway....Boring enough in real life let alone a game.... :rofl

Quoted because it is an excellent point but some aren't reading it.

Watch the monitor in the video. There is no wheelie on the monitor which is the reason it is assumed to be a car that he is driving. Like others have said the movement that the sim is making is supposed to mimmick g-forces not the movement within the game.
As interesting as that thing is I would never spend $28,000 on something like it for my personal useage either.

Cowards fall, the brave leap, you sharp tounged rascal! ;) Watch as we hurtle toward the fridgid water of the Antarctic, and then gracefully glide about within it, like swallows of the sea.

Fixed for National Geographic content :D

id like to try it out while in a flat spin :D :rock

I'm really surprized his mother would let him set that thing up in the diningroom.
If you drop 28 grand on one of these and it don't make you any money, you have serious issues.
