Been without for about a week and a half now, new one just got here in the mail today.

I got one that had never been picked up, saved about $700 on it. It was either that or drive to a store in western PA just to pick up the lesser one (no stores in my area carry the Alienware line, and they won't ship them to a home address unless you get one of the 'outlet' examples apparently).

My first test flight in the WWI arena, I was getting 85FPS with all the settings maxed out.  :rock

Treize, where do you go to uncheck your frame rate limit? or is there one, i swore awhile back i think before the last couple updates i could read my frame rates (which i think was set to unlimited) and they were always around 172 to 225  now its always maxed at 60, but i cant remember where to access that funtion again  :headscratch:

I think it is in video settings before you enter the game.  But if you are getting ~200 fps that is way over what your monitor can handle there is no reason to have them that high.

All together came to $2200. Which is about what I paid for my last one six years ago that finally died. Came with everything new except the monitor, since most of the ones I get don't fit in the cabinet my desk provides for them. I'll keep using the old one until I find a good one that actually fits properly.

Shoulda built one man! Save money and you feel good about doing it! You get to look at your new shiny computer with all the parts you wanted, brands, etc, and say "I built that.".

I've built two. Neither one lasted more than a year before it crapped out. The two I've bought off the shelf lasted 4 years and the latest 6+. I'll just stick with something that has tech support and components that I know won't fry each other, thanks. :)
