ive tried 720 and 1080, 720 is better, but below that its blurry as hell
i have the high res texture pack installed, and the graphics turned all the way up. looks best at 720 but i cant see the game id's in the arena and cant read hardly any of the numbers for the airfields and v bases in the map.

Try using "insert and delete" keys to zoom in and out. :salute

Did you go into Options->Preferences->GUI and up the text size?
-
zooming doesnt make the txt bigger really

Talking about chat text? See here http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,266686.0.html
Bugs the hell out of me that I can't have my full res without having the text bar take up half the screen.

What vid card.....need a fairly strong card to support that size

None of the complaints in this thread make any sense to me at all.
What resolutions are you guys running?
Large screen televisions are going to have blurry text. They do not have that great of resolution for computer use and the larger screen size brings all that is wrong right into your face.
We cannot fix what is inherent in the technology that is chosen to be used.

Skuzzy, this confuses me.
I tried doing some stuff plugged into a 1080i TV set (laptops, etc) and ran into this same problem. I haven't tried it with AH, but in general why doesn't it work properly?
If designed from the ground up to run at 1900x1080 pixel resolution, why when you give it a 1900x1080 signal to display does it reduce the overall quality? Isn't this how it was intended to work?
I confess ignorance other than seeing how it worked trying to run a laptop via my hidef TV.

By the way, if you run the game and force AF (anisotropic filtering) on, the text is going to be blurry. Nothing we can do about it.
We have zero control over how "blurry" something may appear on a screen. How sharp anything looks on a screen is a function of the video card and monitor circuits.
You can make it look worse by forcing filters on, when they should not be on.
