every year in August there is a bike ralley in Maryland called East Coast Sturgis. If you ever get a chance to go, I highly recommend it. I strap the sleeping bag and a tent on the bike and dissappear for 5 days in the great mountains of Little Orleans, Maryland. I have gone every year since 2007 and have met some great people during my stays there.
If you like bikes, music, food and all the beer you can drink then this is a 5 day party you will never forget.

Yeah crazy, I didnt forget about that, but I can tell you from experience from both places, East Coast Sturgis is by far a "true" old school biker party. Unfortunatly Ocean City has become to commercialized and it is mostly vendors. That is what is happening to the "BIG" Sturgis in South Dakota, too much hipe and very expensive.
I have heard there is a new rally in West Virginia this year and if anybody from that area knows about it or has information on it I would gladly like to hear about it. I can add that to my to do list.

I've been to Little Orleans. I rode my Bicycle from Cumberland, MD to Williamsport, MD on the Tow Path when I was a kid. I Had no idea that this East Coast Sturgis was there.
We stopped and camped there. Had a fun rope swing on the river.
