I still can't believe they signed Vick. :huh

Nowhere else but Philly :D

As idiotic as he was to be doing what he got in trouble for, and his crappy attitude, Vick is a very good quarterback. If he has changed his outlook and attitude, I think he will be a great starting quarterback. He is mobile, has good hands/feet, and is fast as hell on the scramble.

I wouldn't mind seeing Philly start him for a season, that's for sure.

Im shocked actually. Didnt think he'd ever go.

They must be happy with Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick...

Or happy with the trade.....
The Eagles will receive a second-round pick (37th overall) in this month's NFL draft and either a third- or fourth-round pick next year.
-
Wonder if my cousin is going to be drafted by Washington to protect mcnabbs sorry butt now??
-
tebow to the eagles?
-
I'd say Tebow goes to Buffalo. Yup there goes my fanhood of being a buffalo fan.
-
Dont worry, the bills will be sucking for the next 10 years anyway
-
Tebow will be a sub-par QB in the NFL.

I know, don't diss us any more than need be.
Tebow will be a sub-par QB in the NFL.
If that! He needs to learn to take snaps under center first.

Whut about TO?
:headscratch:
-
Tebow to the Bills, Vick to the Skins. My two teams making fine decisions once again.
Here's a crazy thought for both -- invest in an offensive line.

McNabb to Skins not Vick :noid

Errrrrr sorry misspoke there. Maybe some sort of strange Freudian slip. I used to like McNabb at Cuse, but that was many moons ago.
-

:headscratch:
I actually hoped he'd help us and put his attitude down for a year...he helped but kept the attitude. Shoulda known.
But that 98 yard TD pass was nice.
Hell, probably even Fitz's and TO's 50 yard pass was the longest in Bills history...knowing how they are! :)
-
I guess this means REdskins aren't going after Matt Staford! Well the Skins don't need a big game winner, just a throw it to your own teamate QB. Mcnabb will be fine for the skins. McNabb to Cooley doesnt sound bad.

Skins almost beat the Saints....granted the saints were playing very sub-par the last few games before their horrendous loss to Dallas.

You and me both, brother. Where did he wind up going, because I miss that guy? :noid

An exceptional athlete by many standards.
An exceptional bellybutton by all others.

I vaguely recall the Saints making up for that one somewhere along the way :devil

Oh yeah. Everyone was makin fun of me when they lost to Dallas, then the Bucs and Panthers. I just kept quiet. Then I ragged on all them like hell when they won!

The Feagles will pay dearly for trading McNabb to a division rival. Do you really think Kolb is better than McNabb? The numbers don't hold up.
Kolb's QB Rating is 88.9 His career stats are even less impressive.
COMP ATT YDS TD INT ATT YDS TD
Career 79 130 885 4 7 21 -1 1
McNabb's QB Rating is 92.9
Career 2801 4746 32873 216 100 573 3249 28
Philly's problems weren't at QB, but they are now.

I think he is younger and therefore has a longer shelf life than McNabb. He also wont cost the team as much.
He is also not lazy from all the trappings of fame and fortune.
Besides, we like rooting for the underdog. Haven't you ever seen Rocky? :D

You are comparing a guy with 800 attempts who plays only occasionally with a guy with close to 5000 attempts and a regular starter for years. Kolb will allow Reid to run a true West Coast offense, something McNabb can't do.
-
something McNabb can't do.
One thing Kolb isn't, is that McNabb was a winner. Eagles will barely win 6 games next season. They lost their backfield, and their O-Line is not a good as it used to be. Who knows about their defense.
The skins could be an interesting team to watch, 3 good backs in Shanahan's system, with McNabb. O-line was bad last year so who knows, havn't seen much on their defense...
-
No quarterback is a winner until he is.
I was watching some silly show on ESPN the other day about quarterbacks. Some top ten list. Drew Brees didn't make the top ten because he had never won "the big game". Obviously made before this season.
I've seen Kolb play and he is probably much better than McNabb could ever hope to be at running an offense. Of course, he doesn't have the same supporting cast so the Eagles will probably be mediocre.
-
McNabb also becomes less and less of a threat outside of the pocket the older he gets.
-

The text didn't line up right. Kolb has 130 attempts, not 800.
Get back to me when the Feagles finish last in the NFC East. That is unless Reid yanks him mid-season.

DOH! I meant Sam Bradford, Still doesnt matter. Randle El was the biggest disappointment for skins past few years IMO.

Then comparing a guy with 130 to a guy with nearly 5000 is just that much more ridiculous.

Perhaps we should compare wins...

Football is a team sport.

this is actually a great move for mcnabb. sure the skins are suspect...but I think if mcnabb will go into washington with a new selfish confidence...with a chip on his shoulder...he could light it up with the skins...and have two good seasons there.... which will garner a permanent membership in canton.
-
Lol... Skins had a better quarterback in Campbell. They needed to invest in an O-line, not an older now mostly immobile quarterback who never had good accuracy to begin with (McNabb)
Kolb has a stronger arm, with better accuracy than McNabb. We'll just find out if he's a decent quarterback now. Eagles had to move him, and they did it respectfully, at the least.
-

They'll win 6 games this year easily.

Well when your a last place team with injured runningbacks, Tightends, and Linebackers. Only thing left is to get out there and throw the pigskin. I do agree with you on the O-line part though. 100million for Haynesworth pfft.
-

Agreed with you here Masher. Eagles were a better team with Kolb under center every game in the past two seasons. Celek was a monster in every one of those games too.
Although, giving the ball to a second year RB and a long time backup QB is a bit dicey. McCoy got shut down a lot last season when given a chance to shine.
I guess it's fitting both McNabb and Westbrook left the same year. One without the other just wouldn't seem right.
-
McNabb got lazy in Philly and rather than "work" to learn the West Coast Offense, decreased his value with the organization. His laziness to learn it, bit him in the arse.
Philly has already improved by losing both McNabb and Westbrook. Westbrook is a walking MASH unit who spends too much time on the sidelines hurt. McNabb is just showing signs of fatigue and is not as sharp as he used to be. A 2nd rounder was well worth it.

Easy there with Westbrook. The Birds made him that walking MASH unit by relying on him so much.
I remember the first time I saw him play for Villanova. A friend of mine was still attending classes there and told me "Bro, you GOTTA come see this running back we have!" I said "Sure, sure......." Then I saw him play.......... :O
I kept telling everyone that we needed him on the Eagles.
When they actually announced it, I almost pissed myself :x
He and Reggie White are the only players whose jersey's I have ever purchased . Still wish I had Reggie's Eagles jersey, I got stolen when I was at Ft. Gordon on TDY. :furious

I miss home. :(
