HAHAHA!!!
-
My X52 joystick stopped working just shy of a year. Sent it in for repair and had the replacement/repaired unit back in under three weeks.
-
Held up better than I expected, especially to a grown man's temper tantrum.
Saitek appreciates your $350 I'm sure. Oh well, as long as he feels better. :lol
-
LOL!
That's funny...I guess I got the lucky batch of X52, had mine for 5 years or so now and works flawlessly.
-
I was going to buy one but after seeing this I don't know ...

Yea 3 years on mine... although I have 13 years on my ch peds.

Which is why I don't get all these problems that people have. I guess I got a CH version of the X52.....or something. I can't wait for the day when I have had my X52 for 10 years and people still complain about havin theirs for two months. :)
-
I had mine for two years. Can't wait for it to break so I can get a reliable rugged ch stick. I haved dropped it kicked it, yanked it, spilled all knds of liquids and it won't quit. I even threw it against the wall last time grizz killed me with his 262. and except for a small crack on the base it just keeps on working. I don't think that's fair.

i have both a standard and pro version of the x52...and have had zero issue with both...other than the horrible software they write to control it...I dont even mess around with that and just let the game deal with it or the os...
the standard version is still virtually brand new as I have been using the black one since feb 07
anyone want to trade 2 cases of beer for a standard x52?
-
I've had mine 4+ years and haven't had any major issue...

u know what is the funny part about the video, he says he bought 3? he either lied about it or is a moron, hard to tell, but either way he's a moron. one I think that was his first and he got frustrated and decided to get even by posting that video. just asked me how I came to that conclusion? simple, I say. U buy one and it breaks down, maybe u give the benefit of the doubt and buy a second one. but a third one? that really makes u a moron, or u lie about it and decide to make video and tell every one u bought 3. I have only bought one x52 pro, and I have abused the heck out of me and it still works. I don't think I bought the only x52 pro that wont break down, so I am not unique. either way it is on the internet and of course everything he says its the truth, because, nobody ever lies or exaggerates about anything on the internet.

I am going to find me another MSFF2 . No way I will pay that kind of money for a joystick but wait , I gve 100 buck's for my MSFF2 over 10 year's ago .
Anyone that can fix a MSFF2 stick ?
-
Whats wrong with it flench? AKDogg did a very good thread about how to replace hat switch's and buttons.
Even gave links to where to find the parts.
-
It stop getting power . Going into it today and see if it could be a fuse or something ...anyone else MSFF2 quit getting power ?
Going to have to find that post ..
-
Had my X52 for 3 years, works great. :aok
-
Coming up on the 3 year mark for my X-52 as well. Same with my Saitek pedals.
I've never had a major issue with their software either. Sure it's a bit kludgy, but I've found it stable.
I hope it'll last until the Logitech G940's been out a couple years so I can assess if it's durable enough to purchase. <g>

I've had my X52 for over a year and a half now and I have absolutley no complaints with it. The cord connecting the joystick and throttle control is the only thing that's starting to finally wear out on it. None of the buttons are sticking yet, even the paint is starting to chip off on it lol and it still works like a champ.
It's a great controller

If you haven't already I think this is what Ghosth is talking about.

I've had my X-52 for a very long time. I did manage to kill the rudder potentiometer early on, but some AHer was nice enough to send his stick portion to me since he was only using the throttle. I'd hazard a guess that the throttle is 4 years old and the stick has been in use for 3, probably manufactured about the same time as the throttle. The one problem I have had is killing the cable that connects the two portions, but that's been my fault. One got broken under a piece of furnature that was being moved, another stripped by the vacuum cleaner.
I must admit it was good fun killing X45s back before I got my X52. For some power supply/motherboard related reason, X45s kept being killed by my computer. I ruined seven of them in less-than-as-many months before Best Buy "changed their policy" on the warranty. :D
-
I got mine used from a garage sale.. That guy had it for a year before I bought it..
I've had it for a year since.. No issues, no worries.. Works great!!
Had an X-45 before that as well and that worked great too!
-
My x-52 never would stay calibrated so I just got the Ch setup and been fine ever since. No comparison with workmanship. CH is da Shizuoka!!
-
Anything from Saitek is junk. My ST290 lasted less then a month, X52 throttle lasted 18 months, and my Saitek pedals about 2 years.
-
it is all relative
gotta figure the cost, the qc process, the user (sobriety of user :) ) and the time used
I have had nothing but saitek since my 1st x-36 gameport monster - tried a fighter stick once and found it too floppy.
IMO the X-52 is the best bang for the buck on the market today
-
I have a 5 year old X52 that has never had a problem, other than it's starting to squeak and grunt with every movement. My son uses this one since he started playing AH. The new set I bought for me has been plagued by problems from the beginning, connecting wire making bad connection, loose screws on the sensors causing erratic behavior, USB cord issues causing stick to just go dead randomly..........
I have the screws removed since I have to open it up and tweak the screws and wires inside the stick about once a week.
On the plus side, I always have an excuse for getting shot down. :lol

Mt St290 + X52 are in for about a combined 8-9 years.

Wow! That's damned good. And you don't have problems with it holding a calibration?

Once in a while I gotta cali the X52 but thatq's if I unplug the cable...I'd day out of 4-5 years I've calibrated it 5 or 6 times...
-
After installing win7 I have never calibrated my x52 not even withing ah.
