Title: Windows 7 and Ventrilo
Post by: Dr_Death8 on April 06, 2010, 11:33:15 AM
Anyone using Ventrilo on Windows 7 have issues with conversations being bufferred.  Ever so often Ventrilo will be quiet for a few minutes, say 3-5 min and then all the conversations will be received at one time.  Although squaddies say I am transmitting fine, I will not hear them and all of a sudden all the conversations catch up at once. Any ideas?  Never had the issue with Win Xp and got new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium. :joystick:

Yes, its done it with me a few times over the last few weeks. I've no idea why but with my system just fixed with a new board, I'll see if it persists.

Are you running vent as an administrator? If you are not you need to. You can also try  setting the process priority to high. Some games consume all the cpu time and it starves other applications like ventrilo.

Click setup--->Misc Tab then go down to process priority and change it to High.

I will give that a try.  I have been right clicking and running as an administrator but still does it.  Will let you know if it worked. :aok
