Well I just recently started playing again, but the 5 years I used to play I never used the single nose mounted cannon, I always used the P47, so im not used to it. I am now loving the Yak9U but it seems like a lot of the gun sights just get in the way when using it, does anyone have a preferred gun sight for the nose mounted cannons?

I am currently using the tie fighter for all my normal fighting. Now for the planes with the taters I use the single dot with the cannon set at 400. Hope that helps you.

Just use the default sight and turn off tracers...er, make sure you adjust the range on that nose gun to 400-450 as well.
Wait...I hate running into Yaks...just get the plane to 10k and point the nose down until you see the prop touching the ground...you can't miss. :D

There are several "dots" out there. I've been using this one for years and years.
ps dot is sized to show convergence cone at 350 - 400 yards.

I use the single pipper of death. I think that I scored it from Slapshot. Oh, and get really close, wait until you can count rivets and/or welds, then pull the trigger!

Yep the closer the better. Once the prop comes in contact with the enemy aircraft you can be pretty sure your rounds will hit.

Don't know about the U other than that 20mm has crappy ballistics and sprays all over so just get close. The T on the other hand I love. The 37mm on that thing fires straight and true so I use the gunsight I use in my B-17 to hit 1000 out just that the 9-T's cannon hits at 800 out. It's great for those that want to try HOin me :D

I use the default too since the wing to wing for a spit inside the circle in d400 (I think) so once both wingtips are touching the edge of the circle, I know the range. And yah, the ammo amount and the ballistics is crap - so its really about biting your lip and waiting for the best time to shoot.
