OK not sure if many people get this very often but I do a lot due to I fly using a mouse and not a stick like the majority, I don't use one simply because I preferr to use a mouse and can't be bothered buying a stick
Can we please remove this, remove it only for people that use mouse or make it harder to receive the penalty? I've been shot down too many times because of this :furious

Don't move the mouse so fast...if you use a laser mouse drop the sensitivity to the lowest setting...and you should be using a solid color smooth mouse pad. Or, buy a joystick.
-
The message is there to warn you about trying to send inputs faster than they could physically be sent by any pilot or faster the plane could react to.
-
I think life would probably be a little easier with a joystick, even a relatively inexpensive one. That being said I know a few players who are ardent mouse users and are quite effective in AH.
You can take a look at this article off the trainers website and try experimenting with some of the settings till you find something you're happy with.

I have been getting this alot more frequently than I used to. I havent changed my flying style or anything, same stick, no changes that I can tell, and its been happening alot since the last patch.

I have been noticing that to.

I've also noticed this, thus why I started the thread

You HAVE to take it to the next level and get yourself a stick....... At least a stick. Listen to Soulyss & for the time being, gyrene81 makes a valid point. Logitech makes a $15 USD stick called Attack 3 or something like that. Your ability will increase quite significantly after you start having more controls at your fingers.
What do you currently use for throttle control?
I haven't had a problems since the patch. :aok
-
It has nothing to do with any patch we have released.
-
If you can't be bothered to buy a stick, then why should HTC be bothered to listen to you?
-
I got this a lot when I bought a more sensitive mouse. () Not HTC's fault, just mine.

Recalibrate your stick in Windows and AH if you're getting this message when you previously weren't. This usually a sign that your joystick's potentiometers are either out of calibration or dying which is causing spikes that in return result in the don't move controls rapidly error message.
ack-ack

I have done this and it's helped for the time being cheers :)

Plus and Minus keys, not overly bad
for a little I used the throttle on a friends stick and still flew with mouse :P

I dont mind the message saying that, but does it really have to lock up the control surfaces?

The message is there to warn you about trying to send inputs faster than they could physically be sent by any pilot or faster the plane could react to.
Because you sent input signals faster than a pilot or plane could react to, the host locks up the controls.

but for like 30 seconds after, is that nessescary?

Either get a stopwatch, learn to count, or stop exaggerating.

because I pay my 15 USD a month
-
I tooled around in warbirds with a mouse for years, never took it to seriously just bombing stuff for the hell of it. One day I saw a logicrap stick cheap and bought it. Thats when the real addiction begun. Even the most basic of sticks makes all the difference. $25-30 and its a whole new ball game.
-
You barely got to move the mouse to preform any manuever.......your just stick stirring :aok
-
but for like 30 seconds after, is that nessescary?
Yes, it teaches you to not stick stir......
-

Ok...so they will listen to your complaint, and say the same things that have been said on this thread...including buy a stick.
You're not one of those people who justifies everything with "because I pay for it" are you? If you are, I have a small task you can do to show the world you have the right to do whatever you want with whatever you paid for.

Aces High doesn't require a stick, it's just recommended.

Your controls have to lock because you don't mind the message.

Remember, slow is smooth, smooth is fast. :aok

I get this very often in WWI planes, mainly the Camel, due to my high use of the rudder during maneuvers to keep the plane straight. The Extreme 3D Pro that I use for the rudder does spike on the Y axis, but because I don't use that axis, it doesn't lock my controls. My Attack 3 works fine though, with no spiking. I move that this wish become a wish to remove the "Don't move your controls so rapidly" lockup to be removed from WWI planes. I mean, how are you going to stick stir in a plane made from canvas and wood?
-
Well really I think HTC would like these kinda post,so they can make the game better and get more people. Isn't that all what we want. Now doing something about the don't move your controls rapidly thing can't do much about.

If anybody reads my post they become confused with my poor grammar and spelling. :)

Im gunna go "out on the limb" here and say, HTC would rather see an alright size player base of "loyal" customers then a huge player base with people coming and leaving all the time.

The reason this wont get fixed is because it promotes bad gameplay if it isnt on. Stick stirring isnt skill, its an easy way out for people......the reason we complain about it is because theres normally some lag that comes with it and makes them harder to hit

Well if your moving your stick so much so fast and violent. There's a reason why you get the message that pops up. Really just dogfight more gentle instead of :joystick: <--- that. :)

Every where you see the word stick in this thread, substitute mouse
