New PC isn't real fast next to most these days but it's twice as fast as my old one and it has a nice shiny new Radeon HD 5770 in it.. I CAN SEEEEE!!!! last night I got online and for the first time could max out all graphics and not have the FR move more than a # or 2. Flew a single JU-88 over a V base and level bombed some poor sap's Wirble from 10K just because I could... Never could see GV's from that alt before. :D I used to have to run around on the deck looking for GV's like a hog looking for a truffle.
Ahhhh the fun I will have now.

5770 is beast.

5750 is a good card for the $ as well. Congrats on the new rig. It's like playing an entirely new game.

I bought a new computer, I went from a HP DV9000 to a HP G71. I thought new computer, better graphics, NOT at all. I know little to nothing about computers, I just thought it is newer it is better. WRONG. Congrats Flayed, i will be getting a new one soon, I hope.

Because it is a notebook, mainly. Unless you get a more gamer or studio style specific notebook, chances are it will have integrated graphics. If you are looking into a 'new one', build your own desktop.

I feel the exact same way.
