If you get REAL picky, it's an early A model
P-61"Black Widow", and the place is the island of Tinian,Circa May,1945, east end of runway 6.
That's where all the guns were set, by the old firing range. Duke.

My source indicated that this photo(one of 2) was taken at the Northrop factory.This might explane the power lines and the lights on in the bldings in the background.
