maybe use a slider on your stick as the throttle.

Not sure how feasible it is but if you have rudder pedals with the toe brakes (like the CH products) you could remap one of those axis to throttle, only downside would be that you'd have to leave it depressed all the time, not sure how long before your foot would get tired.

oh sweet controller
ok you know the mode selector? the middle spot can be no change in throttle, and the other positions change throttle

If you have a cast and can move your arm slightly...velcro dots.  a coulpe on the cast a couple on the top of the throttle....sticky  backed that is.

Bind 2 buttons on your stick one to 100% throttle one 0%. That is how I've always flown.

Glad to hear your still alive and that really sucks about your tendons, did they do, or are they going to, surgery for it?

Hope you kick the persons donut that pushed you out. I know I would be, that is when you get better.

Tape a hook on your cast to control the throttle

the first thing you should do, is worry about healing yourself up right. if you don't, you WILL regret it later in life.

the second thing, is after you're healed, to kick the snot outta the jerk that pushed ya outta the truck.

Duct tape your forearm to the throttle.  It'll be kind of rough since you'll have to move the whole arm/shoulder to move the throttle...but better than nothing.

or employ your brother as a throttle man to pay back what he did to you . I like the duck tape method. Think of it as Douglas Badder with no arms.

What sort of world do you live in?

This doesn't happen in civilization.

....and the gate was down at the back of the truckbed?  ...the one you were riding in? ...assuming this was a pickup truck and not a dump truck.

There are at least four acts of lunacy involved here, committed by at least three different people.

I admire your moxie in getting airborne so soon.

I'd bet you could find parts at Radio Shack  to build  a little finger switched USB potentiometer that you could bandage to your hand, all for less than $15. Plus you could just leave it bandaged to your hand when out in public.

Luck.

Make your brother put on lip stick and run the throttle. If he's not fast enough yell,  "more gas Sally" and hit him side the head with the joy stick. :aok

my X52 has like a tension thing on the side of throttle slider, you can make it so lose that barely have to push.

+1, I broke my hand in intramural soccer and neglected getting a cast or any sort of medical attention until after the season, and now have a permanently pulverized metacarpal. heal up right so you don't have more problems down the road

So now that we've isolated how to deal with the whole flying-with-nary-a-tendon-in-your-hand-functioning thing, WTF happened?

The *only* way I can see this happening is you rolled over your fingers the wrong way, and shreded the tendons with your bones.

If that's the case, elevate that toejam, and don't even THINK about flying.  Seriously!  Don't be the guy who disables himself for a silly addiction like flying computer cartoon airplanes.

How do you fly?

You learn to improvise.

(after starting to heal and doing what the physical therapist tells you to do)

Yes, it sucks.

No, I'm no trying to flame you (this time, anyhow   :D  )

I know what you are going through......(been there done that)
