This was a promo which took place yesterday for the series 'The Pacific' which starts here in NZ tonight. Pretty cool I thought.

Wings look to flat to be a T-6, but they do have that ring around the wings that T-6's have. Never got how people could think a T-6 and an A6M are the same thing.

It is a Harvard, or an SNJ.  There is not much difference but it is there.

The dear ol' Harvard/T-6/SNJ also had an Antipodean cousin that actually saw combat action against the Japanese - the Commonwealth Wirraway, built under licence in Australia and flown by the RAAF - so I reckon the trainer from North American is an appropriate asset to any airshow that commemorates the Pacific War.

I have a funny feeling some armed harvards were used in ground support roles before the Wirraway's saw action, PNG I think.
