Title: Mock dog fight
Post by: SPKmes on April 11, 2010, 01:57:21 PM: This was a promo which took place yesterday for the series 'The Pacific' which starts here in NZ tonight. Pretty cool I thought.

Post by: Simba on April 12, 2010, 01:58:17 PM: The dear ol' Harvard/T-6/SNJ also had an Antipodean cousin that actually saw combat action against the Japanese - the Commonwealth Wirraway, built under licence in Australia and flown by the RAAF - so I reckon the trainer from North American is an appropriate asset to any airshow that commemorates the Pacific War.

I have a funny feeling some armed harvards were used in ground support roles before the Wirraway's saw action, PNG I think.
