As someone who was vocally pro-WWI being added and already getting fed up with it after a month, I beg you HTC- please, PLEASE make it a Central vs. Allies arena!!! I, for one, am getting so sick of fighting nothing but swarms of Dr.I's that I don't even want to log in anymore. I haven't seen a Camel or Brisfit (except, of course, on the side I'm flying with) since the first week after the addition and almost never see a D.VII unless he's circling at 5k over a weedhopping furball of Triplanes.
At least until we get more planes added, can we PLEASE have some incentive to fly something else? I've even lost interest in working on my skins because I'm less and less looking forward to ever seeing them in the game!

I do not know what times you fly, but all I fly is a the DVII and I try to do so for about 30 minutes a day starting at around 5:00pm CST (GMT -6). I see a lot of DVII's and Camels at that time.

I think the issue is the lay out of the current map. Since almost no one makes a point of heading to the center the habit & need for instant gratification is wanted & therefor almost every one heads right to the neighbouring base.
Now if your base is the one where every one is heading you pick the DR1 or Camel & a very light fuel load & it is target heaven you can rack up a bunch of kills in no time. A map change is my answer to the problem :aok

You cannot force players to play any specific way. They will always play the way they want to play.
If you want something, you have to make the effort to go for it. When I want to fight a one-on-one, or two-on-two, I just dial up the radio and ask.
I have also just set out for the center and had good luck with other players just joining me.
If you want something to happen, then make the effort to make it happen. That is what I find interesting in the arena. Players are more than happy to complain about something, but those same players are the last ones to want to actually be involved in making it change. I find it interesting and disturbing as well.

Treize,
Except in a scenario environment, I think what that would cause is a massive side imbalance.
All those people who don’t want to fly camels now, for what ever reason, aren’t suddenly going to have a conversion.
So, you’d end up with 50 DR.I on one side chasing 3 poor camels on the other.
I’ve been too busy to fly lately, but last time I did, there were quite a few D.VII and a few camel.
YMMV,
Wab

I always fly the D7, whats the issue with DR1's? They're slow and the average pilot is an easy kill, and the above average pilot can be defeated too.
-
Treize, if you want to see people flying something different...fly something different yourself.
I do have to ask...why don't you fly the Camel?
-
I see plenty of F2B recently for some reason. Trouble is none of them want to fight, can we plea to make them not jump in the gunner? (this coming from an F2B pilot who hates the gunner) :D
D7 is one of the most "stable" planes that I have noticed (still nothing compares to F2B stability) so there are plenty of them around, basically an all-around decent plane. Dr1 is the best turning plane (til they stall) so that's likely why you see so many, slowest and stalls badly but both can be overcome. Camel has what most consider terrible views and has a nasty habit of tail sliding so that's my guess why no one uses it often. F2B, well we know the story, only about 2-3 of actually fight in it, the rest just jump to gunner.
My wish would be set a down-wind from 2K at 127mph, I can think of a few people that would annoy. :devil

Because I can't see anything in it for one, and for another- its ENGLISH!! :furious

So you want other people to fly the plane you won't fly yourself, just so you don't have to face Dr1s? A bit hypocritcal aren't you?

my sentiments exactly.
I usually switch over to the country that has little to no players and fly over to a field that no fights have started yet (there is almost always one) and fly around there for a while until i get an upper or 2. This usually does not last all night this way but it gives me close to an hour of having a nice small sized furball to fight in.
