Title: Large Mouth Bass found dead with large Bream in throat
Post by: Reschke on April 12, 2010, 10:21:43 PM
Well that isn't the actual title of the story but it makes for an interesting read to know that going in. I was sorta confused by the initial picture due to the size of the photo.

Where i work at its common to see Largemouth with a bird down its throat, birds fly down to the shore for a drink and the Bass just lay in wait, 2 years ago i hooked a 2 -2 1/2 lber took it to the fish house to weight it and noticed some bird legs about halfway down, pulled out my leatherman and extracted the bird, freaking stunk like heck, and kinda gross  :huh    Bass are extremely aggressive when its getting time for the spawn

I have caught several over the years with all sorts of odd items in their bellies. Kinda weird to have seen this one though.

Read the article further and it points you to this link http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/catchfish.asp of a catfish alive with a basketball in its mouth. It kinda seems to encourage the rumors of the larger catfish attempting to eat people in India or the Amazon.

Where we vacation in Northern Wisconsin, the big Northern Pike and Muskies will go after baby ducks when they get the chance.
