what is the beacon do?I looked it up and got noting!it just bug's me to death.

The beacon light is a visual indicator of internet connection status. If your connection is good, it will be remain off. If you see it start to flash you are having connection problems and could lose your internet connection to the game.

You could have had some fun and tell him it was the AN/AP-13 rear warning radar and if it lit up that meant someone was on your six.
