Title: Alt+Tab fails to rstore AH

Using the windows button works to minimize AH, however to restore AH doesn't happen with Alt+Tab or the windows button? This started a couple months ago. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried minimizing AH using Alt+Tab instead of the Windows key?  I've had the same problem with the Windows key not only in AH but other games as well, it will minimize the game but won't restore it and instead brings up the start menu.  That's the reason I have it disabled through my G15 keyboard and just use Alt+Tab to minimize and restore AH if needed.

This is not a game bug, but a design feature of Windows.  Pressing the Windows key while a DirectX game is running serves to minimize the game, but fails to bring up the Windows Start menu, which is the sole function of the Windows key.

The Windows key was never supposed to reset the focus back to the original application it minimized.  The act of minimizing is a function of Windows itself as pressing the 'Windows' key is requiring the focus be changed to the 'Start' menu.  DirectX happens to block focus changes on games running in full window mode.

Any other behavior is quite accidental.

I understand what you have explained, but wondering how it works for others presently and myself in the past. Is it possible to program it to do this task?...ie.windows

Could you explain the g-15 key board?Is it a programable board?

Yeah, it's a programmable keyboard, the Logitech G15.

Alt+Tab to minimize. Alt+tab to restore.  The only way I can think to restore the game otherwise when minimised is to left click on it on the task bar.

I imagine with a programmable keyboard you could reprogram the windows key to act as Alt+Tab.
