Would it be possible to give a damage credit for gv's who take town down or any airfeild buildings etc...?
-
I believe that this already occurs. :aok
-
Lets say after you take a town down with an osti and then the base gets captured, when you land or tower have a damage credit go across the vox box like when you land damage in bombers.

Ahhhh. The name in lights. You are on your own with that one Sir. I just enjoy wrecking planes, tanks, buildings, etc. and eventually landing safely to the chagrin of my opponents. There is no better reward! :aok

Thanks for your input AWwrgwy <S>
Not to showboat or say look at me but to let the enemy know who (pilot/squad) has been taking their feilds.
Maybe instead of the damage credit how about whoever gets the capture on the feild the vox box will read Feild a72 has been captured by ................?

I would be embarrassed.

Embarrassed for what??? An idea? If people like it, they like. If they don't, they don't.

Well should the tree get its name in lights when it flips you and you have to tower??
Yes, and, instead of "landed X kills" it should be personalized.
"A tree has killed wrongway"
:devil
wrongway

What ever happened to the good-old-days where you were merely satisfied with a job well done? Now you need everyone to know you can hit a large, immovable object that's not shooting at you?
 Look at me everybody!!1!
I'm just happy you get your name in lights when you kill a tree. After all, they deserve it.
wrongway
So who put forth the idea of "putting your name in lights" when you land damage in a bomber. I think that was a great idea, let me guess you do not

The difference to me is that a bomber's primary purpose is to attack and destroy ground targets. The kills it gets are generally defensive and secondary to their primary function of destroying those ground objects.
We don't get the same damage message from fighters, because their primary purpose is to kill each other.
With the possilbe exception of the Sdkfz 251 with the rockets, the GVs to me are more like the fighters than the bombers. This game's roots are the air game. The AA vehicles are their to kill the aircraft. The tanks are there to kill the AA vehicles and each other. The fact they can be very effective at taking down ground objects is secondary to their role, not the other way around as it is with the bombers.

No thanks!

True makes sense.
