I'm having problems opening my skin viewer. Windows give me the "stopped working" window. I'm running Vista.
How can I fix this???
-
Download and install the new version of the skin viewer. (http://downloads1.hitechcreations.com/AHSKVIEW2184.EXE)
-
that's the version that I am using. Is there an older version that I can use that works?
Thanks for the prompt response but still frustrated.

You say the version you are using is 2.12 Patch 4. Is that the game version you have installed? If so, you need to update it. The current release is "Version 2.18 Patch 8".
The current version of the skin viewer is "Version 2.18".

my AH is 2.18 patch 8 but skin viewer (even the one I just downloaded) says 2.12

I just tried that link Skuzzy posted and it shows a 2184.exe file...definitely not 2.12.

Agreed, the link is correct but for some reason it is not updating on my system. I've tried cleaning AH files from my hard drive and reloading all AH softwear (several times actually) and this still doesn't work (computer is only showing 2.12 but the game updates are correct and working fine). I'm done trying and suppose that i'm not meant to have the skin viewer.
Thanks for the help with this.

Vista, right? It's probably installing into the wrong directory because Vista has this nasty habit of splitting files up and away from the directory they should be in.
Check your current shortcut to the AH skin viewer. Note the directory (the location of the application the shortcut links to). When you install your 2.18 skin viewer update, it should have a first screen with a browse button and a directory listing, right? As long as it's not an automatic thing that skips this step, you can manually tell it to go to the directory you just checked from your AH skin viewer shortcut.

Yep its Vista.
I'm somewhat computer literate but this is beyond me. I'm beaten and calling for the armistice!
The file I delete from my c: drive is the film viewer and then I attempt to reinstall the new version it shows created on todays date but modified on 3/19/10. Something is fluffied up.
1,2,3,4...10 i'm KO'd!!!!!
Thanks for the help. I'm moving on.
