Title: crapy guns

to add to the realism can you guy's make the guns jam :airplane: :joystick:

Do you have any real world data to support your idea? For instance, the frequency of M-2 .50 cal machine guns in the P-40B...maybe you have data on the Mg/151? You need data...real data.

Hispano II cannons in Spitfires had about one stoppage every 2000 rounds fired.  Hispano IIs in Mosquito had fewer stoppages due to a more rigid mounting, but I don't know how often they jammed.


Good luck on getting those numbers for each aircraft and gun.

I thought this post was going to be about the cannons in the N1K.  I flew it a bit the other day and that's what I kept saying to myself...

Except I wasn't using the word "crapy"

Gee, It'd be great if one of the rare times i get a clean shot in, my one 20mm cannon jams after 15 minutes worth of upping, climbing and getting to the fight. Then I get to run all the way back home for a fresh 109, get back to the fight, and hope that the gun doesn't seize up again. Sounds fun.
