Title: Please Give Us Vehicles For Version 0.41

There was a vote on whether to have vehicles or the film camera in V 0.40.  Now that its out, we should get some vehicles in V 0.41.  
Examples:
Panzer (Tiger??)
T-34
M-4 Sherman
Half-Track
Troop Truck (Synonomous with the C-47, e.g.              used for field capture)

I would guess that some roads would have to be added.  We could then have raids on troop truck convoys bound for our fields, and also strafe the tanks escorting them.

while I'm looking forward to the inclusion of vehicles, I can't say I'm really looking forward to the long drives between bases.  Think I'll stick with my hawg and fortress =) (until/unless we can airdrop tanks, then I'll take sherman =)

I think tanks like Tiger I / II, Panther G, M-36 Jackson (hmm, i hope i remember this right), M-4 Sherman / Jumbo, KV-Ic, T-34/85... could be nice stuff here.
Also some lighter tanks would be pretty cool too.
Wouldn't it be nice to strafe troopers with some of SdKfz 234 serie armoured car <grin>

An armored car would be a great defense against paratroops.  If you run out of ammo, you can always run them over.:d  to solve the problem of long drives, we could have forward bases in addition to the airfields.  The fuel system would work the same way as in the airfields.

I think that fast armoured cars (with some grunts aboard) and flak trucks would be the best initial solution.

Can you imagine SAS actions against LW front line airfields ... we could wait for them in a flak panzer ....  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Moreover a reduced icon setting should be implemented for them. You should not spot a camouflaged vehicle above, say, 5,000ft.

Then tanks and tanks and tanks ...... to let FW190F/G, Typhoons/Tempest, Hurricane MkIID and godknowswhat play their role.

Let's have manned acks first: twin 50s, 20mm's or 40mm's; pedals control rotation and the stick elevation kinda things. Let's shoot some drunks attacking the field!

I'd go for the standard set...

Flak panzer (modeled like a bomber with driver & gunner)
Jeep (see FP with not too powerful gun)
Some sort of tank (don't care which)

And naturally a destroyable garage at each field so that FPs & jeeps don't prevent capture.

Mind you, it would be kinda neat to put the garage NEAR but not on the base.
That way people could ferry supplies to bases with a short drive (using trucks). This'd give the heavy fighters a strat target and let people manually resupply bases (but not without risk)

Yeah - gotta have a jeep considering its in the top ten best cars of all time.
Halftrack yes
VW officers car (name escapes me - looks kinda like a vw duck)
Some battlefield/tow  recovery vehicles would also be good .

Tanks and Halftracks for attack/defence sound good, but for the delivery of supplies history dictates the need for trains. This could be a totally AI controlled feature as it wouldn't be too fun to engineir, (except for those few train nuts I know are out there), but it would be strategicly fun for the fighter/bombers who could effect rebiuld time of fields by hitting rail lines or trains.
