I've noticed in the last few weeks/months that the water in the MA has turned from a nice shade of blue to charcoal black. And it looks about the same with or without advanced graphics disabled. Only difference is it goes from a dried lava bed look to a smooth oil slick look with graphics disabled. It makes it tough to see the enemy when fighting on the deck. Other than to upgrade my system, is there any way to bring back the blue water?

When my system switches to low detail, and I go to checked the boxes again, it takes a few seconds for them to take affect, and during this time I get the black water, but it doesnt stay that way for long.

They have a sea now? Arizona will not be happy.

Different language may be involved here but it was the Gulf of Mexico. They were supposed to try and start some of it on fire today as the smoke supposedly is less dangerous than the stuff that would be evaporating from the slick.

Re install the game, that should work. Your texture files might be corrupt.

Someone out there must be listening because the black water is now blue again. Thought I was in the Carribean it was so crystal clear. Not sure if High Tech fixed problem or not but it sure looks nice again.

If it happens again Vafii delete your video8.cfg file - this will mean you will have to redo your video settings mind
